Meet the Team: Martina Arnold, Our Transport Manager

Martina Arnold has been part of the Citipost Global family since 1995, and is someone who truly knows the heart and soul of our business. From looking after our drivers to planning transport routes and logistics, Martina’s role is all about making sure everything runs smoothly — and she does it with the utmost efficiency and a smile.

How did you start your journey with Citipost?

I began my journey at Citipost in 1995! At that time, I was working on the warehouse floor, packing and sorting post for our delivery routes. When things got busy, I’d jump in with the drivers on their routes to help hand-deliver mail within the London area, which was a really popular delivery method at the time. It was hard work, but I loved being part of the action and getting stuck in. From starting with the company, I knew Citipost was a place I wanted to stay for a long period of time.

I quickly moved into the office, supporting the operational side of the business.  During this time, I also worked with our i2i team and our Client Services team, but transport has always been my main focus. Working across various parts of the business has helped me really understand what happens at each stage of our operation, allowing me to streamline processes where needed and communicate clearly to my team and clients alike.

What do you love most about being Transport Manager?

I thrive in a close-knit team environment where collaboration comes naturally. Each evening, I plan routes and manage weights for our deliveries and collections for the following day. When needed, I coordinate with external partners to ensure we have the support required. I also oversee our overnight collections and keep the warehouse team informed about expected arrivals the next morning.  Problem-solving is a key part of my role, and I genuinely enjoy the variety it brings—no two days are the same. I welcome the challenges that come with transport logistics and always focus on finding effective solutions to keep our operations running smoothly and our clients satisfied.

What’s your proudest achievement?

To have been a long-established member of the Citipost team, covering many roles within the business during this time and still loving what I do every day. Helping the company to run efficiently gives me a very real sense of satisfaction.

What’s new with the Transport team?

There is a lot of exciting things happening at the moment. We’re currently recruiting to grow our driver family and we are expanding our collection area so we can partner with even more businesses. It’s exciting to be part of that growth and reach further than ever before with our services.

What do you enjoy most about working at Citipost?

I love how every day is different and how much autonomy I have in my role. It’s fascinating to see the variety of client work that comes through each day too. It keeps things interesting and fun!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

When I’m off the clock, I love to relax with a good book or catch up on Netflix.  I’m a big fan of Harlan Coben’s thrillers and I always look forward to a holiday to unwind and recharge.

Where’s your favourite place in the world?

I love both Turkey, where I love a relaxing holiday, and Ireland, where I visit family. Both places are very special to me and hold a lot of happy memories.
